29 days ago I let you know that I was pushing stop on my business Your Mindset Mentor and my podcast - The Mind Vibe
Since that time I have done what any motivated person would do and that is to take a step back and look at what is going on from a birds eye view, analyze it, identify the stuff that isn't working, learn what needs to be learned and let it go. And identify the stuff that is working, and double down on that.
Doing something like this is one of the hardest things to do. Nobody wants to stop and analyze what is sh*tty in their life and business. NOBODY!
But if you are a driven entrepreneur who has found their passion you learn how to take that step back so that you can keep moving forward. And this is not something that you do once, this is something you learn to do frequently.
The faster you can let go of the things that are holding you back and requiring too much time, the faster you will achieve the flow and abundance you desire in your business.
I took that step back with every intention to see where I needed to pivot in my business. But that didn't make it any easier!
When you have to let go of something in your business, your baby, this thing you have spent so many hours creating, it causes inner conflict because your ego mind does not want to let it go.
You begin to feel like a failure and question everything that you are doing. There was a point where I really wanted to just go get a job and say 'I tried, it didn't work.'
But there was also my inner self that was reminding me that this pivot meant something big was up ahead. You don't spend time analyzing what is and isn't working and then take action, to not end up in a better place.
I knew that if I just surrendered and let go of what was to make space for what would be, everything was going to work out just fine. This is what we call TRUST or LEANING IN.
And that is exactly what happened.
I completely detached after pushing 'post'. I headed off for 1 week of vacation, completely offline personally and professionally (aka no work, no phone and no social media at all - just real human interactions and living life). This was something I have not done for over 1.5 years.
I spent the first week with my family at Gramma + Grandpa camp, which included my 4 nieces, new nephew, + extended family from the uk - it was so amazing and everything that I needed.
What followed after that was 3 weeks mostly offline but in a complete creative space full of business growth, soul alignment, and self-love.
Allowing yourself space offline, especially as an entrepreneur, is so important to the growth of you, your business, and your revenue.
I have spent the last 3 weeks allowing the new vision for Your Mindset Mentor to come to life. I took stock of everything I was doing, wasn't doing, and what I needed to start doing.
This is the 3rd time I have done something like this since taking this leap into entrepreneurship and I can honestly say this one strategy has been game changing for how fast I can move forward and let go of what isn't working.
If you are an entrepreneur I highly recommend that you allow yourself time every quarter to analyze what is going on in your business.
Are you staying in your zone of genius?
Are you talking to the right audience?
Are you trying new things?
Are you speaking to your tribe?
Are you doing the inner work?
Taking this birds eye view snapshot this past month, I can confidently say that I have never felt so aligned with what I am doing, what I am creating, the impact I am here to make, and how all of my dreams really are going to come true.
I could have chosen to give up, close the doors, and turn the lights off in my business. A part of me really wanted to. But I didn't.
And I am thankful that I didn't.
I have learned that the more you make time for the pivots that NEED to happen along your entrepreneur journey, the faster you can achieve success.
You MUST let go of what is not serving you in order to step into the new place you want to be in. YOU MUST.
So here is to the next part of Your Mindset Mentor. The part where I have more knowledge, more belief, more clarity, and more impact. 🍾🍾🍾
Stay tuned for my next post letting you know all the goodness that is coming your way.
P.S. Thank you to every single person who sent me a message, called me, wrote on my social posts offering support when I completely put myself out there. I was blown away by all of the love and I am so grateful for each and everyone of you.
